One of the best OSTs from Shippuden IMO "Depature to the Front Lines" "Lightning Speed" continuing the dramatic tone: The first track "Shippuden" really sets the tone for the whole series - bringing a much more deeper and dramatic tone: Thought I'd chuck "Loneliness" in here too: However it doesn't come close to the level of "sad" OSTs in Shippuden: Naruto (original) being a comedy, light hearted anime did the best it could for sad situations with the appropriately titled "Sadness and Sorrow". Nervous is a great example of how Shippuden is much better at creating tense scenes. Glued State (original anime) always made you feel tense and eager to know how they were going to get out of a sticky situation: The Main Theme (original anime) always stirs a sense of nostalgia: Raising the Fighting Spirit is such an amazing OST and you always knew shit was getting real when it played: The audience has grown up now (I'm on about the people who grew up watching Naruto). Personally reckon that the change in tone from the lively original OST to the much more dramatic OSTs of Shippuden was a good move because it reflected a shift in tone in Naruto - Shippuden gets much more dark (obviously it still has comedy in it) and the stakes are much higher.
The original soundtrack sounds much more fun and lively whereas the Shippuden is much darker (at points) and like I said dramatic. Naruto Shippuden was much more dramatic with the OSTs, to reflect the fact that the audience had grown up. In fact I think shippuden has some of the best emotional ost's out of any anime.įrom Boruto there is only a few I like which are Sarada's theme heartbreak, Aibo and Kakugo.įeel like original Naruto's was better at getting you pumped whereas Naruto Shippuden was better at creating an impact and stressing seriousness. I do think OG Naruto had some good emotional ost's like hokage funeral, sadness and sorrow and gaara's childhood theme, but just not on the level of shippuden. I do however really like the shippuden emotional ost's like senya, hyouhaku, Girei, divine theme, samidare, Yamagsumi, saika, obito's theme, rainy day RTN ost, shirohae, ochihabune, byakuya, ashura and Indra theme, danzo's theme, Sai's theme, Young obito death theme, Minato saves Kushina theme, gentle hands, the road continues, despair, loneliness, NTL the day, silent song and decision. Some of the other battle ost's got really annoying after a while. The only two battle ost's I liked from shippuden was Spin and burst, reverse situation, my name and kokuten.
Naruto unreleased sound five battle theme 1 I liked the OG naruto battle ost's but I prefer the emotional ost's from shippuden.
