Yarbrough & Peoples adore performing live. With a dynamite stage show, this duo has toured with the best - including the James Brown 'Living in America' tour recent and past performance concerts with such funk greats as the GAP Band, Kool and the Gang, Morris Day and the Time and others. After Cavin and Alisa formed a band together, Charlie came to visit the venue where they were performing. He enjoyed the performance so much that he introduced the two to Total Experience president, Lonnie Simmons.and there started the legacy of a career in performing, writing and producing that has spanned over 25 years! The liaison between the Total Experience and Yarbrough & Peoples (Y & P) produced five (5) records, which housed top 10 singles such as 'Guilty', 'I Wouldn't Lie to You', and more. But the best selling record by these two was the 1981 single, 'Don't Stop the Music' - which led to a nomination for the prestigious Grammy Award, and a host of television shows and appearances. The song has been sampled or covered by various artists to this day.
